Tumble dryer works but no heat because empty water light continuously lit - - after emptying !! Second time this has happened - first under warranty - engineer said was simply the water tray full detector stuck and easy to fix but did not see how he did it. !!! Grrr.

i'm having the same problem with this model, i have tried taking the machine apart but it wont let me take of the back panel, i can't get to the switch jim is referring to because it seems to be encased where the water bottle is and i cant take that apart without taking the back panel off. can anyone help me here?

The float switch in the back of your machine is probably stuck in the up position. Take off back panel and you can see switch attatched to reservoir.
