The steps for starting a b/s engine is first place the throtle on run, then push the primer button 3 times,pull rope .If the mower still wont start then you need to do some checks,like spark plug,air filter ect..If you take out spark plug hold it up to the body of the engine and pull the starter cord,see if it has a spark.With the air cleaner clean it in kerosen and re-oil,best of luck jason
