Kenmore Washing machine Model No, 110.26832690 purchased 1996. What can be causing the above problem? Is it cost effective to repair or should the washer be replaced?

Hi it happened to my washer about 5 years ago and it was cause by a wear out part called coupling (rubber, parts # 285753)... if you check to see the bottom of your washer, and if you see black rubber dusk it could be the same problem as mine. The part itself only cost $15 to $16 but the labor would about $100+. After another 5 years it is having the same problem again. Peviously the tech already warn me that the problem will repeat because the part is NOT durable.
