Dyson DC01 - suction through hose but not in upright mode?

My DC01 seems to have lost suction when I use it in upright mode. It still works fine when I use the hose and the tool attachments. i have tried changing the filters which hasn't helped. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Helen

Your Dyson is not intended to such from the bottom in the upright mode which is why the hose is fine. If you mean that the wand is not sucking up, it happens to be exactly the same diameter as a lot of coins and you have likely picked one up. Try detaching the wand and dropping a small pebble or marble down the end and make sure that it is clear.

Have you checked that the little rubber belt around the brush hasn't slipped. Mine is always doing that, failing that you could take all the removable bits out and make sure there isn't anything stuf in them or that there not really dirty, I used to used shake and vac untilI had to clean the hoover pipes!! Good Luck
