The temperature control in my EW82 Hotpoint oven is too high?

The temperature control in my EW82 Hotpoint oven seems to higher than it should be ...result - burns baking. Can this be reset?

Yes use the 5 year hotpoint warenty and pay the one-off £89 to get a new thermometer fitted (funnily enough same happened to me) and it'll be as good as new
