My Kenmore ultrawash dishwasher (model 110733601) does not dispenser the detergent when washing. When the load is done, the detergent dispenser flap is open, but the detergent is still there. I thought maybe the dishwasher was old and didn't use the detergent capsules so when I tried the powder, but the result was the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We had the same problem. When we took more care loading dishes to make sure that there was nothing impeding the flow of water towards the dispenser, our problem was fixed.
