How do I reposition a movement sensor?

I need to move a movement sensor, when I take the sensor cover off will it activate the alarm. If so what do I need to do? Can you let me know the procedure please.

Engineers manuals are not available from this Texecom Website except to bone fide trade engineers.

You will only need an engineer reset if the panel was originally programmed for "engineer reset on tamper" which is sometimes done to protect the installers maintenance liability from interference by the householder.

Simply open the PIR - enter your customer code to silence the tamper alarm- move the PIR - press RESET to clear the tamper (24hr) light.

You may test using walk test Option 06 which is also available in the User Menu. User Manuals are available from www.texe.com

Alarm Engineer Bristol, October 2007
download the manual (it may assist if you don't have a copy) http://www.texe.com/downloads.php?page=33. Enter the engineer mode and remove the pir cover.

factory set codes are,
user code 4321
engineer code 1234

The alarm will activate, enter your own code the alarm will stop. reposition pir and connect exactly the same, label when taking apart if required. Once installed whilst in engineer mode enter 06 this is a walk test which means as you walk around your home you can see if the pirs work. Your newly positioned pir will retain the same zone location as you have not altered this within the control panel. On the walk test that zone, for eg 4 when activated(lit led within pir) the control panel will bleep 4 times indicating zone 4 is ok and so on for all the zones. when complete come out of engineer mode back into standard mode.
