Thanks Colin, I've been caught up with Christmas shopping and a bereavement so not looked for a reply to my question earlier (just leaving my aged parents to wash-up manually - oops). Will give this a go over Christmas and report back. Merry Christmas, Mary

the over flow has kicked in, machine has a leak . if you tip it back the water in the base will come out and it will start working again
