Peugeot 206 rear indicator broke & front one going too fast!?

Hi, i have a 1998 peugeot 206 LX. I fitted a new brake light this weekend and all was well, the new brake light was working and so were all the other lights. I then drove the car later that night and the rear driver indicator stopped working and the front driver indicator was going really fast. Anybody any ideas on how to fix? or is it a mechanics job?

I fitted a brand new bulb last night and played around with the wires to check no loose connections and still no joy! i've booked it in my local garage on sat so i'll try find out what he says the problem is. Thanks anyway for your help it was worth a try. Emma :-)

have you tried a new indicator bulb, seems like thats the problem. (by the way, the flashers work faster to indicate a fault).if not bulb it could be a poor connection on multi pin connecter. make sure you put the correct bulb in i.e.wattage 21w and contact, which i think is single.
