i was push starting the car but now it won't go at all, i need to find the starter motor, know how to remove it, what to look for and how to fix it. can u please help?

for ford ka 1.3 remiving the starter motor the above advice excellent it save me thank you, dont forget to take of the air flter housing you have more acess.

Emma the starter motor sticks out of the gearbox (engine side)
to find it you will need to get under the car and look behind the engine it is a cylindrical thing about half the length of a pringles tube and just a bit wider it should have a plug and a big cable running to it from the battery to change it first disconnect the battery (important you get this wrong and you can short the battery causing an explosion)unplug the plug and undo the cable from the back of the motor 13 mm spanner i think then take out the 3 bolts holding it in and the motor should pull out to refit do the reverse hope this helps
