Hotpoint CTD00 Heater element?

My tumble dryer does not give any heat. I followed the answers from similar questions and found my heater element faulty. I got to it by removing the back metal panel on the bottom left. However a number of wires are attached to it and go through a hole. I am trying to unplug it the wires but cannot get to the inside of the dryer. I tried removing the left panel by removing all the screws in the back but only managed to dislodge it slighty. Does anyone know how I can get to this?
Thanks

please check the two heater thermostat, it might be open causing of heater not working...use multimeter to check...normal state of thermostat should be short...

i have just done the same. if you undo the top 2 bolts and lift lid up at back then undo all bolts on the left side rear the panel will sprigg out slightly enough to reach in and unclip plastic block connection which will pull out through hole in the rear of the casing. although you may need sone snips if the tye wraps have been done up to tight. ps make sure power is of and plug removed from wall.

Take off the top of the dryer then you can take off the side panel, this will then allow you to see the motor and all the wiring loom. It a simple connection to unclip then the whole lot will come off.
