Hi am working on a primera the now.changing a drive shaft is no easy task if you"ve never done this before first thing get yourself a 36mm socket two 17mm spanners, 10mm, 14mm, 12mm, 18mm, 19mm, first of all keep safe when you jack the car up put the wheel you took off under the car next to the jack so if the jack fails it wont drop far do not put legs under car when working at the front wheel, kneel. dont put head under wheel arch anyway first if possible get someone to put thier foot on the brake in any gear and then loosing the big nut in centre of the brake disc then use 17mm spanner or socket to take the brakes of remember to check and remove all split pins take of track rod end and then the bottom ball joint and it wont be easy sometimes it helps to release ball joints is a hitwith a hammer on the metal part surounding ball joint once this is done remove big 36mm nut then pull driveshaft out to remove bearing there should be a circlip on the shaft keeping the bearing in it right place . clean away grease and you"ll see it.. change bearing and just put everything back the way it come off all the best make sure you have good tools as the nuts and bolts on a primera are very soft and are easy to round them if you need any other help email me colin.mackerracher@btinternet.com cheers

either take it to a garage or jack the car up yourself and look at it. how hard can it be?
