When pressing the hatch lock inwards in usually opens the hatch!!!!
There was an electric sound heard too.
But now nothing happens unless I manualy use the key to operate the cable release.
I have replaced that alarm switch on the inside right light cluster.
It still wont open when I push it.....

The fault is the boot solonoid located just to the left of the boot catch (open boot) 2x torx bolts remove bolts and solonoid
lubricate with wd40 reconnect and test before relocating

a bit fiddly but mine now works good luck
