Hi,
1. Undo the battery negative lead.
2. Remove the two wires from the rear of the alternator. (The last one I fitted had three connectors, one was for a rev. counter)
3. Loosen the large bolt underneath the alternator and adjustment bolts then push the alternator towards the engine and take the drivebelt off, there may be a tension adjustment bolt as well, and this must be loosened so that the alternator will move inwards.
4. Remove the adjusment bolt(s) and take out the alternator. It's said you don't have to remove the pivot bolt, as the alternator housing is slotted but I've replaced my alternator several times and had to remove the pivot bolt completely every time and it can be a bit tricky to get it back in.)
5. Put the new alternator in and tighten the belt so it moves about 0.25in or 6mm in the middle.
