How can i fix my Fiat Punto?

To change the gearbox on my W reg Fiat Punto do I have to drop or remove the engine

Hi no need to take the engine out.
Just jack the car up remove the wheels and bottom ball joints both side then support the engine undo the gearbox mounts and lower the box down a bit then remove the gearbox,nice easy job to do.
