problem with tention on a new home machine model JD1722?

Help I'm having problems with the bottom tention stitch it keeps forming little loops every inch or so, any Ideas on how to fix.I've set the dials to the required positions stated in the manual but it still does it I've also changed the needle.

Thanks to both of you I have tried everything you said and its still the same I dont understand why it is like it because last time I used the machine it was fine so what could have gone wrong I feel like throwing it out of the window!!!!!

first of all check that the machine is threaded correctly, the bobbin case as well as the main tension.Make sure that the thread is pulling smoothly and not snagging, again also check the same with your bobbin case.
Check that you have the needle in the correct way, when you try the machine again make sure that it is not trying to feed the material whilst the needle is in its lowest position if it is then your feed timing is out and you will need a mechanic to adjust it for you.
If its feeding the fabric correctly then try adjusting the main tension to stop the looping, you also have a tension screw on the bobbin case you can try to adjust,to make the tension tighter turn the screw clockwise and anti-clockwise to slacken the tension.
Hope this helps.

Hello Janet,
If the previous answer did not help keep adjusting the top dial bit by bit, check to make sure you do not have any lint stuck between the tension discs or in the spring on the bobbin case.
