Whilst cleaning my toledo oven I removed the grill control knob and now I can't fix it back in. It is as if the hole is too big for the D shaped rod on the control knob. I think a retaining clip may have come off.

A) Is this likely to be what has happened
B) How do I remove the facia get at to fix it / find the clip

Any joy with your oven yet?
If not, it will be doubtful you'll be able to buy just the retaining clip, but go to the link below, and you can get a complete new knob.
