how can I kill off my factory car alarm on my N reg Ford Escort?

My alarm goes off every time I open a door or switch on the ignition... I have been told to disconnect the bonnet switch, which i have done but to no avail... Please help me kill off the whole system, before my neighbours kill me... thanks!

Try locking and unlocking using passenger door for a day or two. If that cures the problem then the problem is likely to be the switch around the drivers door lock barrel. Either fit a new one or take off the door trim and remove the switch from the barrel and leave it off but still connected to the wiring. You can still use the passenger door to lock it if you need the alarm on, but you will have to unlock with same door or the alarm will go off. Take off both door switches to get rid of alarm altogether.
