Timing on my Euro-Pro Shark 361?

Yesterday, with my Euro-Pro Shark 361, I tried sewing over some fabric that was too thick. The machine made some noise and then the wheel would not turn all the way. Apparently the needle had bent and was hitting the shuttle. I replaced the needle (in the proper direction). After that, the wheel would turn all the way around but the upper thread would not catch the lower thread. I tried adjusting all of the tensions and made sure my stitch length was not set to zero. I removed my shuttle cover, shuttle race, and bobbin to be sure there was nothing stick in there or bent. I believe this is a problem with the timing but I am not sure how to go about making changes to get it working again. Any thoughts?

Hello Amanda,
If the timing has gone and you want full instructions on how to retime just e-mail me and I will type up what to do driverwithken@blueyonder.co.uk remember to let me have your model number again and if the bobbin drops on the top or if you have a seperate bobbin case.
