DISHWASHER?

MY DISHWASHER IS NOT WASHING THE POTS AND IS ALSO MAKING A LOAD BANGING NOISE WHEN BEING USED, THE NOISE DOES NOT HAPPEN STRAIGHT AWAY BUT A FEW MINUTES LATER CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS COULD BE THANK YOU
