How do I dismantle top of Dyson DC03 to fit new power lead?

I cannot undo cleaner to get at switch.as ther e are no screws etc

The push part of the switch should just prise up and give access to the switch below. I think the switch is held only by one screw, after which you can disconnect the power lead. Possibly you may be lucky and the break maybe local to the switch!!

Make sure your plug is disconnect from the mains!!!

Firstly, it can be done! Secondly, I don't know how...A while ago I had the power lead replaced on my DC04 (by a local vacuum repairer, not a Dyson retailer). He is no longer available and I need to replace it again and have the same problem as you. Brute force doesn't seem to work, just damage the plastic. If I find out I will post the answer; hope you do the same.
