press and hold down the stalk as if you are restting the mileage, after holding it down for about 10 sec it will flash and then service in a amount off mileage will appear and the orange service light will go off

change the trip computer to the service interval page and press and hold the stalk button (either one!) as if you were resetting the mileage on the trip counter (works on my 2003 Scenic!)
