triton opal electric shower - how can i fix?

my shower power is on. and the red buttons are showing on. Once the shower has started to run the low pressure red light comes on and only cold water comes out. I have tried to switch the mains on and off - no success. I have checked the water downstairs and it runs fine. Help!!! getting smelly

My triton opal shower just stops whilst showering. the trip switch in the mains needs to be reset, the shower only works for a short while and trips again.

Got the same problem after two years although I do live in a hard water area. Plummer says it's either the tank or the sensor. Parts are available but if tank is replaced and it's the sensor or the other way around it will cost a lot after VAT and labour. Almost just as cheap to buy another in Homebase on a 10% off day. Then it is a straight swop with very little labour charge.

I have no idea myself - we have the same model, only in for a year and this just started happening - it comes on ok, then it switches between 'low pressure' and fully on, meaning you have to jump in and out of the flow to shower. VERY annoying after it has worked ok for a year - maybe time to bin the Triton and get one that works?

Ignore the last answer! There is something you can do as I had the same problem with the same shower! It will be your PCB board, best price I could find was from showerdoc bit expensive at 49.99 but easy to repair.

Not much you can do. Not enough water pressure. You can check for blockages or limescale build-up if the shower was working before, but it stays cold on purpose because too little water pressure could boil you alive if the heater stayed on.

You could also try turning the temperature on the shower down. This will increase the water pressure.
