Thanks for the reply. I have now cleaned all the lint from inside the dryer as below. But its still no good. It could be game over for the dryer.

Hi again Rick: now that you have it all clean that excludes that as the cause of the problem, next check that the vent is completely clear and that there is a good flow of air to the machine, after that it becomes more difficult as you may have a weak thermal cutout and the only way to find out is to change it so now it will start to cost money and you will have to consider how far you are willing to go
