how can i fix the idle speed on my merc a160?

HELP!!! my idle speed runs 800 revs for 3 sec then drops to 100 revs and then back to 800 every 3 or 4 sec, if you select first gear or pull up to a stop the engine stalls . steph.....HELP!!! PLEASE
