If the coil is bad on a 032 Stihl, can it be converted to points? Like the 031? If so what parts/changes are neccessary?

If the saw was factory Solid state then unless you look under the flywheel and see a bump where the points would go then you can't. It would be expensive. You would have to change the crank. If the coil is bad changing to points you still have to change the coil to a non-solid state.
