You don't state what model you have but assuming they are all the same then the cam belt needs to come off aswell, a job for a pro unless you are very experienced. If the pump is rattling then DONT drive it, if it seizes then it'll throw the belt and a new engine will be on the top of your xmas list! Get a cam belt kit and change the lot as a matter of course, did mine for £120 all in so not as bad as you'd think. Good luck
