Broken LCD Screen for Sat NAV on BMW X5?

Hello There,

I have a 2003 X5 with the comms pack which includes the Televison/SAT LCD Screen.

I need a replacement screen.

Can anyone do this? If yes, how much?

I had a similar problem. BMW refuse to repair these units so I contacted an aircraft instrument repairer. They were able to purchase a new LCD monitor from Alpine. BMW service can easily remove the unit (5 minutes). You can then post the unit to a repairer. BMW quoted me AU$8000 to replace the whole unit. My replacement screen cost AU$1000.

Ive got the same prob if I hold the eject button on it comes back to life was thinking maybe some damp has caused it??

The Sat Nav screen/TV on my 3-series has just gone - although the radio, CV and phone all still work
