Whats wrong with my Dishwasher Hotpoint FDW60?

It completes the cycle as normal but when I open the door, the tablet is still undissolved at the bottom of the dishwasher. All the plates etc have little bits stuck to them so I have to wash them all again by hand. Any ideas
