how do i ajust the timming on the fuel pump on my diesel van?

my diesel van is slugish i think it could be the timming out on the fuel pump can anyone advise what to do

hi depends what typ of van you have if its not to new then you can try taking the timing cover of you will be able to turn the fuel pump by way of three bolts you must be carfull tho or time the engine and se if its out hope it helps
