hoover logic 1300 pumping water in and straight out down the drain?

I bought this washer dryer second hand and when i came to test it it seemed to work ok, that is until it started pumping water in. The water went in and then straight out and down the pipe to the drain, i dont understand can someone help?

Solution found! (thanks to a friend technician).
Solution:
The dump should be somewhat higher. Try untill it's high enough (~0.5 meters)
