one of the wiper arms on the front winscreen does not work. how do i fix it?

this is a common fault
you will find that the rod that links the motor to the spindle has come off as the ball joint has worn out, there is 2 ways that i know of to fix it,
either replace the unit with a new or second hand one
or put the rod back into place on the spindle and weld a small washer on to prevent the rod from coming back off the spindle
