It could be the belt broken? I got a slipper I was washing (should have been in a bag!) stuck in the paddle/front today and it jammed the drum. It burnt the belt through and the machine (TVU1) has to be 'exploded' to get it apart - not easy. My belt is 7PHE 1860 and it is about £9.95 on line. It was obviously quite a bad foul-up, as the motor shaft moved and the fan impeller was hitting the back panel.

All the usual precautions must be taken here, such as unplugging the machine from the electric supply and not attempting the repair if in any doubt as to your ability.
