a while since ihave read this but thanks rob for the info,I saw an ad for a 50cc motorcycle, foreign of cause that does 70mph but my derestricted scooter only does 53mph. nice around town from traffic lights, fast but dual carriageways are a pain with lorries up ya bum, need another 10mph to get away perhaps a bigger carb, if I upgear will be too slow up hills or away from lights

if its anything smaller than a 600 i wouldnt bothered it would be a stupid idea and if u are going to put a turbo on a bike it would mainly be a chopper or something like that and it works by having a little fan in one side of the turbo and the exhaust gases rushing past it make it spin, and the other side u have a fan which pulls air in now the faster u go the more air its pulling in and which a turbo u want an intercooler to keep the air cold because cold air means dense air, and the denser the air the more u can fit in a cylinder, but with more air means ur engine will run lean which means not enuff petrol but if u have a good bike with an ecu and oxygen sensors this should correct itself
