fiat punto 1999 rear windscreen wiper wont work?

i put the control arm on to rear wiper and it wont work i have replaced the control arm and still nothing ihave tryed another moter i can hear it trying to work but nothing

After checking fuses, etc.

If it is a Mk I Punto, open the tailgate, remove the philips-head screw, remove trim. From outside, remove wiper arm To do this, flip up plastic cover at end of arm, remove nut and washer. Using a flat dull screwdriver, prise off arm.

Try wipers again to check motor.

Check the splines; they are probably worn.

To remove motor:
From inside, disconnect electrical plug and disconnect water pipe at in-line connector. With a 7mm allen key, unscrew three bolts and remove motor. It's that easy.

Remove four screws from plastic cover and check the con rod; this is a common failure point.

The rain and water runs down the arm and into the motor, diluting the grease.
