Zanussi condenser dryer TC484W, What is the green light for?

I have the above dryer and although it seems to be working there is a green light on by the time dial on the top right hand side of the front of the dryer. Anyone know what it is, I can't find my instruction manual?

It is the mains light indicator - it just shows that power is getting to the machine when it is on a cyccle according to my instruction book
