I have inherited a BT Freelance XD 1500 triple handset phone with answering machine from my late mother with no instructions. I actually bought it for her 2 years ago as a Christmas present so I don't think the model is that old, but I cannot find a user guide on the internet anywhere. I am unable to work out how to reset the day and time to the correct and current day and time - it just keeps telling me it is Saturday.

The default on the Base Station is Saturday 1201 pm so wait until that time then pull the transformer out of the mains socket, pause, then replace the transformer and - voila! the Base Station is set to Saturday 1201 pm! Just like that, as Tommy Cooper would say!

to set the day/time:

press and hold stop (square symbol)

then scroll through the days with the forward button
(there will be voice confirmation)

when correct press stop and repeat for hours and then minutes

press stop again and the day/time will be confirmed

I have also lost the manual and had the wrong day/time on the answerphone. The instructions for this phone (BT Studio 1500) work for the XD1500 as well (I tried a few to get one that did!)
