computer very slow?

its taking ages to connect to the internet and when i do it takes ages to go from page to page - plse help

It sounds like you have a lot running in the back ground on your computer that you don't see or know about. A fix to this would be to do this.

Click on Start tab, and then click on Run.
Type in the box: msconfig
Click on the Startup tab.
Uncheck every box.
Then click on Apply, and then close tab.
Click on Restart computer.

After your computer reboots, check the box in system configuration utility that says Don't show this again, and and close.

Your computer should be ready to rock now.

You also want to do this:

From Start, put cursor over All Programs, slide to Accessories, and to System tools, then click on Disk cleanup, and click OK. Click on Yes again. Now your computer should really be rocking.

One last thing:

Open up your brouser.
At the top of the page click on tools, then slide down to Internet options and click.
Now delete Temporary internet files, and History.

Your computer should be like brand new unless you have a virus....good luck

make sure you have a decent antivirus program and antispyware program installed and use them regularly.
