Time pc doesn't start, just beeps a lot?

My Time pc had been working fine, last time I tried to start it nothing appeared on the monitor and the pc just gave regular prolonged beeps (longer than the usual one bep it used to make on start up and they continued all the while I left it trying to boot). Any ideas?? We did have a violent thunder storm since it was last used and although the pc wasnt switched on it was plugged in to the mains, could that have 'upset' it??

The beeps are telling you there is a hardware failure preventing the machine from booting; the board manufacturers website should tell you what they mean (hard drive failure is unlikely, that wouldn't stop the maching booting up). If this doesn't help, you could try removing and reseating all the expansion cards and RAM.

How old is your pc?

It sounds as if your pc is trying to boot but can't. This may be a problem with your hard drive and if so, it may need replacing. Easy to do........good luck
