How can I fix a noisy kenwood chef 701 gearbox?

The gearbox on my chef 701 is making a row especially under load. I am positive that some bearings need replacing at the very least. Can oyu advise how to remove gearbox and dis assemble please.

Hi, They were always very noisy,
One area to check is the planatary set - the chrome part where the bowl attacments go, undo the center nut, check the gear, the teath - also on the casing.
Regrease with normal light grease.

Mixing dry power stuff can get into the gear throught the gaps etc.

PS. Packing in extra grease from underneath gearbox plug and cleaning/regreasing the planattary will only keep it quite for a short time.

These always were a noisy beast, as long as there is no crunching from the gears it's all good.

I've had more interesting issues with the old fashioned speed control over the years than mechnical ones.

One machine our family has managed to run into the ground, sourced an hardly used one & after MUCH speed conrol parts renovations / replacements due to age only,
It's just like 1970 all over again !

Best Wishes,

Martin
