How to remove switch from front of food processor?

I have a Andrew James multifuntional food processor.
The switch at the front now won't start the machine. How can it be removed so that the switch can be examined/repaired?

What makes you think it's the switch that's defective?
Consider how the switch was fitted during manufacture - it will probably have been inserted from inside - you will need to be handy with an electrical test meter to test the switch when you get to it.

Examine your machine and how it was assembled in the factory - take off the back or the bottom or the top as you see fit.

Consider also the external electrical supply as a possible cause - or the machine's drive motor. Test first the items easier to test. The switch is likely to be the last thing on your list of suspects.

Or take it to an appliance doctor or buy a new one.

But be warned! These machines always have an interlock system to prevent operation if they're not correctly assembled by the operator - little hidden switches that make sure the various bits are on properly. My guess is that one of your interlock switches is not operating and this is the cause of your problem. There will be bits of the removable items that press down on a little pimple button - depress the button by hand and then you'll know - but take care.
