AV2 & AV4 are usually dual purpose sockets on Panasonic TV's.
These inputs can usually be switched for either a 'Composite Video' signal or 'S-Video' (sometimes referred to as 'S-VHS') signal.
This setting for the AV2 or AV4 socket must correspond to the type of signal supplied from the external source, otherwise the picture will be in black & white.
This is usually possible via the 'AV' Button, Menu System or coloured Fastext Buttons (AV2-Green), AV4 (Blue).
Using the remote control, simply toggle the AV setting so 'AV2S' show as 'AV2' or 'AV4S' shows as 'AV4' or vise-versa.
Alternatively, if you have connected equipment with S-Video output, there may be a switch to toggle this output siganl (via Menu or external switch) between S-Video or Composite Video output, rather than altering the AV Input setting on the TV.
AV1, AV3 do not have dual options for S-Video so the problem doesn't arise.
