how can i fix my goodmans gdvd67w3lcdk portable dvd player?

when switching dvd player on the screen displays loading then after a few seconds display wrong disc this happens with all discs

My goodmans gdvd67w3lcdk portable dvd player will not power up. The screen flickers slightly then nothing. Even the LED light does not come on. Can anyone let me know what could be the cause of the problem. Many thanks.

try playing a cd , if that works try cleaning the optics with a cotton bud and isopropol.
