my tv is stuck on the volume, it will not turn up, the volume only goes up 2 notches but no futher

What make of TV is it.
Many sets normally Philips have a 'hotel' mode that prevents guests from listening at full volume. However this also normally prevents you from tuning the channels.
If you can tune channels then some fault with sound, if you cant tune channels then in hotel mode but will need make and model for the unlock sequence.
