PS

Depending on your exact model due to local current etc.
You may need a different capacitor like a 0.15uf.

It's not easy to fix.
A number of things can be wrong.
This article presumes you disconnected wire clamps, cover, wires, connection board etc., tapped out out hinge pin, removed limit pin circlip and have removed
black ceramic cover - 4 screws and are looking a the bottom of the motor !

The contact arm - (with white plastic button that rides the bottom of govenor -end motor spindle).
a)Carefully unscrew, clean contacts with fine emery paper.

b) Reassemble with two screws centering arm back, check contact bottom contact for correct height - if bent WILL cause problem as described, check operation by pushing out white button to stop ( as motor govener would and check for gap and electical contact when closed. Use an ohm meter across contact terminasl if you still have ~450ohms when contacts closed your repair is Not corrrect. see c plus height of bottom contact wrong height etc., contact close to 0 when closed & ~450 ohm open - you have a winner!

c) contact riveted to bronze domed washer can be corroded making bad contact, lightly fine emery domed surface and rotate 90°

IF your motor hunts / surges at low speed - could be bad cap or burnt resistor or BOTH - what happened to me.
If the resistor goes it may kill the capacitor with MUCH smoke. Believe it can be much worse with the steel can ones. Better to have fitter a new EVOX RIFA PME271E 0.1UF cap -safe and self extinguishing.

The 450 Ohm ceramic wound resistor is hard to get.
Either from a junk machine or new from a UK source.

Lastly the screws on springs adjust the min. idle speed range. These have to be adjusted evenly out for higher in for lower speed. Its tricky as you don't want it too low so err on faster side if in doubt and it best done while running (blender only for safety) after final reassembly live - This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS as you are poking screw driver into nearby live bits! Better to leave to an experienced tech who's familiar with these. Unless your great at soldering / careful / knowledgable with wiring etc. give it a miss as there are many pit falls for a novice.

Best wishes !

Hey I hear some real appliance techs - with time consuming difficulty are fitting 901 series electronic controls - care to share the experiance ?
