Toyota Sewing machine?

My mum has a Toyota Sewing machine - not sure of make but can find out if nec - anyway it is atleast 5yrs old. There is a plastic spindle on the top which holds the cotton reels - except the spindle has been broken off and is not superglue-able. Can this be replaced completely? many thanks

Hello Clare,
Quite easy to replace the reel pin unless it is glued in, if it is I would find the nearest sewing machine shop, buy a reel pin for a few pennies and drill a small hole the size of the pin and put it in, does not have to be a metal pin, a nylon one will do.
