John,
Colin is absolutely spot on. I bought my PVR for Christmas 2005. I had always assumed that the 'NO SIGNAL' problem was to do with my aerial which had been installed with low loss co-ax about 18 years ago. I also discovered that by switching off/on the problem could be overcome for a while. Strangely I have never had any problems when recording.
Any way, for other reasons I have had to install a new aerial and have replaced all my co-ax cables and plugs/sockets running to 4 TVs in different rooms.
However, much to my dismay the problem is still there. But a few days ago, on this and other websites I discovered that my problem had to do with my Technosonic PVR101.
I am also now waiting fot the next update (I don't know when) to see if the problem will be solved.
Another thing - I'm not sure if anyone has contacted Technosonic since I haven;t seen any comments from them.

Thre are hunrdeds if not thousands of us with the same problem and many other problems. We are all waiting for a new software download ( 2.4 ) It is either that or the dustbin as the 101 is out of guarantee.
