How can i fix my Washing machine, Hotpoint, Aquarius 1100?

Stopped working while washing, it has left water in drum, i have taken clothes out but As soon as i turn it on it trips the swith in the fuse board.

There does not apear to be any leaking water.

it sounds like the heater element gone short try putting it on spin and then resetting the trip and get back to us
