problems with mcclloch pro mac 700?

hi this is ash again.
thank you steve for the tips ive checked for spark and there is.
I also cleaned the points and magnets and looked for any loose connections. but still no go. i think it might be the carburtor. dose any 1 have any tips on how to fix it

yo ash, me agen.
try using some 'nos' octane booster, you get it in halfords and suchlike. this stuff has a marked increase on an engine's performance. you might to want to try adjusting the idle jet and pilot jet on the carb, and do some research into the principle of a CHOKE, are you familiar with the concept of a choke? the idle jet controls the fuel/air mixture at idle, and when the choke is shut, (and throttle open) the fuel for starting the engine comes in here. so that may well be your problem, buddy.
