How Can I Repair the Format on My Smart Media Card?

I unknowingly formatted one of my 64k Scandisk SmartMedia cards in the multi media slot on my HP Computer, and now it will no longer work in my Olympus Camera.

Use this (CardWiper):

It will completely wipe the card, all images will be lost forever.

Then put the card back in the Olympus camera and format it there.

BUT : If you wish to recover some pictures first (PhotoRescue):

For "Best Practice" with Olympus/SmartMedia, see:

The column on the right contains info from Olympus.

That should Mend It!

I think that you may have problems re-formating this media device. Have you tried formatting the card in the camera? I know Fuji have a format option, not sure if the same is true for Olympus.
